Holiday dining in Tokyo

By on November 28, 2009

The holidays may confine many into their cozy abodes, but there’s still much to experience outside! Take advantage of the diverse culinary treats Tokyo has to offer. Here are some of our faves!

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE ROPPONGI  (AMERICAN)

One reason to go Outback this season is their irresistible VALUE PLAN. If you’re about four people or more, Outback Steakhouse Roppongi offers a competitive advantage  in dining enjoyment.  Fajita combo plate, Fiesta course, and of course, their regular delectable steak cuts always entice the palate and in big portions! Take delight in their new energy-packed Angus Ribeye, flame-grilled to perfection to help warm up the cold winter nights.

NAPULE  (ITALIAN)

This authentic pizzeria and trattoria in Tokyo Midtown in Roppngi never fails to please the young and old. The long queue on weekdays and weekends explains it all. Whether you’re vegetarian or an Italian gourmand, you will be amazed at how authentic each plate is skilfully prepared in unpretentious Napoli style. The rich, warm Italian ambience and cheerful staff make you  come back again and again.

SERYNA Tokyo  (JAPANESE)

A highly-rated restaurant by foreign dignitaries, Seryna is very much an upscale Japanese restaurant. If what you’re looking for is authentic  Japanese Kobe steak, Shabu-shabu or Sukiyaki to welcome visiting relatives from home or simply for a special night with the family, then this aims to impress. A prix fixe dinner costs ¥9,450 where you can have  a wide  choice of main course from Lobster, Abalone, to Sirloin or Tenderloin steak.   Their highly recommended Kobe beef dinner set (which you should never leave Japan without ever trying) costs anywhere from ¥21,000. A Kobe beef shabu-shabu dinner costs ¥15,750.

Warning: Bring an empty stomache, because each course is truly filling!  And yes, there’s a dress code:  Smart casual!
