Tokyo, the seat of fashion in Japan, welcomes the latest addition to major European fashion brands in the city with the opening of the first flagship store of world renowned Italian designer Roberto Cavalli.

In spite of a competitive and constantly evolving world of haute couture, the innovative Italian fashion guru has made a name for himself doing what he does best — adding pizzaz to your look!  But what makes Roberto Cavalli loved by women all over the world?  His signature style: the extravagant use of vivid colors, wild prints, instilled with both feminine seduction and demureness, embodying Cavalli’s lavish lifestyle of summers on yachts and holidays in the south of France.
“He calls his stunningly overt, brazenly sexy craftsmanship, ‘rock haute couture’,” writes Hal Rubenstein, fashion director for InStyle magazine. “Skirts are stamped with the gold-leaf embossing usually worked into opera curtains. And his jeans are unbelievable: shredded to reveal inner layers of brocade, inset with laser-cut lace birds.”

To date, he has opened stores in over 25 countries worldwide, and has designed for women, men, and children alike; being the trailblazer that he is, he has ventured into creations for the home as well. His unrivaled individuality has made his brand sought after by international A-list fashionistas, which include the creme de la creme of Hollywood: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Lopez, and the Beckhams, to
name a few.
Signature brand Roberto Cavalli seems to be a perfect fit for the fashion-loving Tokyoites fascinated by both European sophistication and the avant-garde flamboyance.

“Tokyo is on the world’s stage of fashion, glamour, and sophistication. This is a city of energy and inspiration.  I wanted to create a boutique in which elegance dominates, both for men and women, in a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere.”  says Cavalli.

Nestled in the trendy streets of Aoyama, the new Roberto Cavalli store is as ornate outside as it is indoors; the boutique exterior boasts a Domasco patterned glass lit from inside, setting a glamorous worldly tone for its sophisticated clientele.  Customers will be greeted by an impressive interior:  dark brown quartzite flooring sprinkled with crystal dust and walls of ivory and dark brown stucco with gold tone highlights.

The first floor greets fashion afficionados with a wide array of Roberto Cavalli collection from accessories: handbags, eyewear, jewelry, and men’s wear. The second floor is exclusively reserved for unique women’s wear, prêt-à-porter evening gowns, dresses, shoes and accessories.

If you’re feeling particularly inspired, the Roberto Cavalli boutique might be your ultimate indulgence.
