“Maker’s Base is essentially a work space you wish having one at home,” says Tokyo dad Kenji Matsuda. You pay a member’s fee for the use of the place and equipment just like you would at a fitness gym.

Maker’s Base is a 266 sqm area spread into three floors: a gallery, studio space for metal and wood works on the 1st floor, a studio dedicated to textile/leather (sewing) with a 3D viewing room on the 2nd floor, and a community space and lounge on the 3rd level.

The quiet light-filled space and adequately equipped room give full support to artists with no stationary power tools.  Maker’s base charges daily for a one-off use of the place, monthly, yearly and you can join using a prepaid coupon ticket that allows 10 days’ use. Lockers space is provided to members for a separate fee. They also support creators find a buyer for their original creation via in-house promotion.
