How to make fried chicken kid-friendly

By on June 5, 2014
Chicken is one of the best source of protein. And fried chicken or tori no karaage is the surest way that children will eat them. I have a technique to make fried chicken even kid friendlier using Yakiniku or Korean barbecue sauce.  Here’s how.

Ingredients
4-5 pieces chicken drumsticks
Yakiniku sauce
2 tablespoons water
¼ cup rice flour
cooking oil

How to

1. Marinate the drumsticks in yakiniku sauce and coat the chicken pieces evenly.
Cover with a plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 20 minutes.
2. After 20 minutes, take the chicken out.
3. Pour the right amount of cooking oil in a deep frying pan and heat in 180 degrees centigrade.
4. When oil reaches 180, put 2 drumsticks at a time and cook for about 1 min 30 seconds flipping it as necessary.
5. Put the cooked chicken on a strainer and pat with kitchen towel. Serve hot.
