Just as global economy shrinks, so too does the size of new smartphones and cameras.

GoPro Hero is a good example. GoPro Hero, a tiny but high-performance video camera that casual photographers will want to buy and carry around is out now. GoPro Hero comes in three action-packed cameras: Hero4 Black, Hero4 Silver and its entry-level Hero.

So what does it do? It takes 1080p video at 30fps or 720p video at 60fps. It captures (2 modes: QuickCapture and Burst Photo) 5MP still photos at up to five frames a second. It’s got wide-angle lens for getting more in your shots and an integrated waterproof housing that keeps your GoPro Hero video camera dry to an advertised 40 meters, all for a minimum of 25,920 yen. (US price US$129.00). GoPro Hero comes in three action-packed cameras: Hero4 Black (44,280 available in “surf” and “adventure” ), Hero4 Silver (34,560 yen) and its entry-level Hero.
