They’re back…

It’s going to be a riot. After 12 years, the whole Portakolas family is set to return for a sequel to the 2002 blockbuster comedy film My Big Fat Greek Wedding according to US magazine, Entertainment weekly.

In the second installment stars the original cast led by Nia Vardalos known to many as Toula Portokalos , the girl-next-door who comes from a traditional Greek family and marries an American played by John Corbett.

Nia, who is also the screenwriter, has been working on the sequel since May this year.  My Greek Fat Wedding 2  reunites the whole Portokalos brood in another grand wedding – this time with one of Toulas’ cousins marrying an Italian. If you have watched and liked the first film, there is plenty to suggest that My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 will be an outburst of hilarious stereotypes as two different cultures merge. The sequel will also focus on unraveling a family secret.
The much-talked-about film will be distributed by Universal films and directed by Kirk Jones of Waking Ned Devine and Nanny McPhee.   Now, all we need is a release date and because Japan is always late, you could use some warming up .  ↓
