By now we are all used to the ice rinks that appear around town over the winter months but that doesn’t mean they are any less appealing.What better way to spend an afternoon sliding around trying to catch your balance?The original Art Rink at Aka Renga in Minato Mirai is still the best, offering a great combination of skating and art lighting in the festive surroundings of Aka renga all in the shadow of Cosmoland.The skate hire is the cheapest your are likely to find and there is a cafe for those who chose the wrong size skates. Early morning skating lessons are available once a week for those in need of perfecting their triple axel.Remember Chinatown is  just a hobble Away if you fancy replacing the turkey with something more exotic.

Meiji Jingu Ice Skating Rink

White Sacas (Sacas Akasaka) Skating Rink

Now, on its third year, Sacas Akasaka “White Sacas” is an outdoor ice-skating rink that has expanded significantly since its opening in 2008. It is by far the largest rink in Tokyo, complete with illuminations and regular events like skate lessons and competitions.
