The taste of Inka does not differ noticeably from other gourmet eggs but the high price has to do with the difficulty of breeding vertebraeless Araucana chicken.

‘Teru’ is the crème de la crème of all eggs and is possibly the most expensive one in the world. One egg costs almost the same price as 20 regular eggs and comes only in 20-pc pack. What’s special about these eggs?
Power-packed Teru yolks are dark orange in color and are slightly bigger than the regular egg size. Poultry feeds include 60 or more types of nutrients and 25 different herbal poultry feeds that make eggs taste slightly sweet and amazingly odorless. Teru is known as the favorite egg of patissiers in Japan.
