85 items to be put on auction range from dining tables and chairs to sofa and throw pillows. The bid price ranges from 1,800 yen to 1 million yen.  This treasure trove of high quality furnitures and pieces represent Japan’s modern architecture and Hotel Okura’s understated elegance of the 60s.

Hotel Okura opened in May 1962 and closed down in September 2015.  The demolition is in full swing and at the same site will rise the ‘Okura Lantern’ that will be open for business starting in 2019.
