Snow Town Yeti

By on February 8, 2016

Fancy a hassle-free adventure? Then Snow Town Yeti is for you! It’s every thing but abominable. Nestled in the shadows of Mt. Fuji, it’s close enough to home for a day trip. This little gem of a resort is designed for beginners and young families, ideal for the tribe’s first tentative steps on the slopes. Gentle starter slopes, snow play grounds, and a warm childcare centre on the slope add to the appeal. Rent everything from sledges to salopettes, sign up for some lessons, and chow down on reasonably-priced food. Yeti offers the perfect ski experience for the whole family.

About Snow Town Yeti

100_0068Snow Town Yeti is divided into four sections: the ski/snowboard area, the kids’ snow-play area, the toboggan runs, and the kids’ learning slope. The ski/snowboard area only has three small lifts, but it is perfect for a family with young skiers, and to accommodate the ski and snowboard schools. The kids’ snow play area has dugout igloos, lots of foam filled bumpers, and a toy tent where they can take a break from the cold. The toboggan runs are definitely big enough to produce squeals of delight – from both parents and children! (Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your toboggan, they can be purchased there.) The kids learning area is the best – the grade of the small slope isn’t too steep for new learners, and it has a “magic carpet” to bring children up to the top.

Once it’s time for a break, you can buy lunch at either the Western or the Japanese fast-food restaurants. If you’re enjoying the scenery too much to go indoors, you can eat your packed lunch by one of the big outdoor fire pits! You’ll be guaranteed to have a car full of exhausted and happy passengers for the trip home!
