Marmie, a middle-aged widow decides the best thing to do after her husband’s death is to move to Los Angeles to be with her daughter, Lori. Lori loves her mother, but Marnie’s constant opinions and suggestions are too much. Lori urges her mother to develop a life of her own. While Lori dives into her writing career, Marnie makes herself useful by helping other people. Marnie is slow to realize Lori’s efforts to push her away are part of Lori’s own grieving proves over her father’s death. The film is essentially a drama about a mother-daughter relationship everyone can relate to. There are some swearing scenes and allusions to sex. Age 16 + Out Dec. 7
