There’s a strange mini roll in toilets at Narita airport

By on December 22, 2016

There’s a new item you will find added in toilets at Narita Airport apart from hygienic, sophisticated and warm toilet seats.  It’s a small roll of paper  the size of a grocery receipt that sits in a dispenser next to the regular toilet paper.

86 of these small paper rolls can be found at 7 rest rooms in the airport’s arrival hall with a “Welcome to Japan” printed on it along with instructions on how to clean and disinfect your smartphone with a sheet. The service will be offered until March 2017.

This NTT Docomo and Narita Airport joint initiative is to inform visitors that smartphone screens are five times more likely to be contaminated with germs than toilet seats.
