Tokyo Marathon, Feb 26

By on February 14, 2017

The race is on! Tokyo Marathon 2017 takes to the streets with 2 running courses.

500 runners will attempt to run the 10-km race and 35,500 competitors for the 42-km race. An undisclosed cash prize awaits the lucky winner. Cheer them and the rest of the runners including the barmy fancy dress competitors along the route that starts in Shinjuku at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and ends at Tokyo Big Sight. To join the Tokyo Marathon 42-km race, you must be at least 19 years old by Feb. 26 and 16 years old for the 10-km competition.

A separate course for those in wheelchairs runs simultaneously with the 10-km race. The Family Run takes place the day before the Tokyo Marathon. If you’re looking to take on a challenge this year, this has got to be the most inspiring. Just hope for a rain-free day!
