Wife In Search Of A Woman To Marry Her Husband

By on March 4, 2017

Amy Krouse Rosenthal is no stranger to those who love her writing style. Not only is she one of America’s most prolific writers of adult and children’s books, a filmmaker and ex radio show host, Amy, like most of us, is also an ordinary mum and a wife.

Todate, she has penned 30 children’s books and a very funny yet profound memoir for which she is best known entitled, “Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life,” a book about her thoughts and observation on the minutiae of her life.

Rosenthal reveals in a personal essay she wrote for New York Times  yesterday that she has ovarian cancer.

“I have been married to the most extraordinary man for 26 years,” she wrote.

“I was planning on at least another 26 together.”

Since this is no longer possible, she now finds herself beating a deadline to look for her replacement.

She took her search online in hopes of widening the chances of finding a woman who will read it and take chances in falling in love with her husband, Jason. She created a dating profile.

In her personal essay, she makes a convincing case for why the next woman should take her place.

“I want more time with Jason but that is not going to happen,” she added at the bottom of the profile.

What’s Jason like:

Height: 5 ft. 10 in       Weight: 160 lbs
Hair: Salt and Pepper Colour of Eyes: Hazel
Style: Sharp dresser
Attributes: Uncannily handy, can cook

It’s been ages since the last time I burst into tears while reading a novel.  I am sure her poignant essay will reduce you to tears too. You can read it here
