Making Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream Is Easy

One advantage of making your own ice cream at home is you can adjust the sweetness.  You don’t need an ice cream maker to cook this recipe,  just a few basic ingredients.


Ingredients  (for 6 people)

4 egg yolks

40 grams sugar

400 cc. Fresh heavy cream

90 cc condensed milk

200 grams fresh strawberries

1/8 teaspoon salt

  1.  Mash the strawberries with fork and mix sugar, salt, condensed milk and cream.
  2. In a small pot, simmer the mixture for about 4-5 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Remove pot from heat.
  4. In a deep bowl, whisk egg yolks.  While whisking, slowly pour about a third of the hot mixture into the yolks.
  5. Whisk the yolk mixture back into the pot of cream. Heat to medium-low and cook until the consistency is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon.
  6. Set aside to cool at room temperature before putting freezing it.
  7. Transfer to a covered container and freeze for at least 4-5 hours or overnight.
