Shaved Ice From Korea

By on May 20, 2017

The only way to survive the hot summer months in Asia is by eating shaved ice or kakigori.

However, shaved ice is served in many styles. In Japan, kakigori is often topped with different types of syrup while Koreans like their shaved ice as fine as powder snow with diced fruits and beans drizzled with milk.

Down in Harajuku is a dessert shop called Sulbing specializing in shaved ice that comes to your table piled high in a large bowl, some with luxurious toppings never before seen in kakigori. Here are just some of the most tantalizing shaved ice bowls to try at Sulbing.
