Zara Home, a treasure trove of soft furnishings and home essentials

By on May 12, 2017

The season to change the color motifs at home from warm to cool, breezy tones is upon us.

There are lots of choices when it comes to buying soft furnishings in Japan. From the laid back country style of Laura Ashley and casual modern appeal of  Franc Franc  to the more luxurious  Yves Delorme or Cassina , you can find almost every brand in Japan.  There is also the eager-to-please budget-friendly Ikea. For those who need bedsheets for US king size beds, Costco is your place. Everything else comes down to how you want to decorate your home and how much you want to fork out.  But if you’re looking for mediterranean chic in profuse colors and modern prints, Zara Home delivers.

When fashion-forward Zara Home launched its stores in Japan 4 years ago, it captured the millennial audience – young, stylish parents who are just beginning to start a family. Its inspired homeware appealed to them, setting a benchmark that continues today.

Buying soft furnishings online may not be a good idea. You will want to see the actual color and feel the touch of material before buying beddings and towels. Zara Home stores exist for that purpose.  Zara Home in Omotesando is a treasure trove of tasteful objects and stuff for the home. If you haven’t been to the store, let me give you a quick tour.  Zara Home goes by colors and themes just like how it is at department stores.
