American Autumn Festival at Toshimaen

By on September 11, 2017

Back in 1891  in the Highwood Park section of Weehawken, New Jersery, U.S.A., was Eldorado, a famous 25-acre amusement park that once held attractions from vaudeville to athletic performances.

Toshimaen, one of Japan’s largest amusement parks for children in Tokyo,  celebrates the 110th anniversary of the revolving horse Eldorado Carousel loved in America for over fifty years. This month, Toshimaen pays tribute to “Old America” featuring various events held over a number of days.

A must-visit for families with children from 2-10 years. It’s a great place for everyone to be on a 3-day weekend in Japan (Sept 18 is a holiday).  There are lots of things to see and try for the kids. Toshimaen is a huge park with a fun-tastic variety of rides, including three roller coasters, and a water park with 25 slides and six swimming pools.
